Remember my southern greens, slavic style?
I just made a pot. Didn't have bacon, didn't feel like putting onione in, and I used about twice as much kielbasa as last time. I cooked the kielbasa really dark before putting in the water, and there was lots of black gunk on the bottom of my enamel pot, so when I deglazed I got really really deep brown pot likker. Mmmmm.
This is awesome: I've gone to vote, gone running, done the dishes, eaten all the cherry tomatos in the garden (just stood outside in the patch and gobbled), and made greens, and now I'm having weird jalapeno tortilla chips with little slices of cheddar, and I'm starting that sock over again with a much easier to emulate way of doing the crochet provisional cast on. It's better so far; now to see if I actually retained anything from all that practice at picking up wraps on Sunday.
In case you couldn't tell, I am very happy to be at home, and glad this week of teaching isn't as insane as last week was, not that it won't be pretty crazy anyway.
Oh, and WFCR just reminded me how much fun Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies are. Hadn't heard that one in at least a decade, and I could still sing along with the whole damn thing. Liszt is da bomb.
